Course Description:

Founded in 1905 and moved to its present location in 1973 the course was designed by Frank Hawtree, Lisburn Golf Club is undoubtedly one of the finest and toughest inland courses to be found in Ulster. After the move the members planted in excess of 1,000 trees, undertook major improvements of greens and bunkers, leading David Jones to comment "Lisburn have shown what is possible, by turning a virtual swamp into a superb inland course by ambitious and far reaching programs of construction and maintenance".

Lisburn were rewarded for their extraordinary efforts when they hosted the 2003 Bulmers Cups & Shields All-Ireland Finals at which glowing reports where written about the course and the hospitality of the members. The finishing hole at 217 metres will test the nerves of the best of golfers, it is a spectacular downhill hole and if you walk off with a par it will feel like a birdie. After your round of golf relax in the magnificent clubhouse, but do remember if you intend to have an evening meal be sure to bring a jacket & tie.
