Course Description:

This unique Island course, located in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht, is joined to the mainland by a causeway at Bealadangan. Designed by Tom Craddock and Pat Ruddy and opened in 1995, it is a 9-hole course with 18 tee boxes, measuring 5,260 yards par-70 with a standard scratch of 67.Set in the distractingly beautiful location where ocean inlets and rocky outcrops provide natural hazards demanding concentration and steady nerves. The 3rd green, 4th hole and 5th fairway, are on an island of their own, with water everywhere. The beginner will be introduced to what golf is all about on this natural costal golf course. Connemara Isles boasts the only thatched clubhouse in Ireland, where a very warm welcome is extended to all visitors. For golfers wishing to brush up on their Irish the members are only too willing to converse in the National language. Societies are welcome and group rates are available.
