Course Description:

This undulating parkland course situated in the historic village of Ardfert has appeal both for the beginner golfer and the already established golf enthusiast. The lofty greens, the variety of trees and the many water features are but a few of the attractions of the course. The clubhouse has both ladies and gents changing facilities. Refreshments and golf accessories are available also. Ardfert also boasts a 10-bay All-Weather Driving Range and a warm Kerry welcome is extended to visitors.

Club History

Ardfert is first listed in the "Golfing Annual" 1897-98 which says "There is an eighteen-hole course at Ardfert Abbey. Visitors are permitted in a most liberal fashion". Later, the same annual lists the course as a twelve-hole course. There is no record of golf at Ardfert after 1910. "Irish Life" documents the death of the owner, Mr. Lindsey Tolbot-Crosbie, on 12th December 1913. The club affiliated to the GUI in 1993.
