| Course Description: |
Set among 200-year old trees, 12th century castle ruins, fairy lios and rolling hills, Beaufort Golf Course is designed for all golfers. The course presents magnificent views of the McGillycuddy Reeks from all points. Carved from natural terrain, every hole offers the golfer fair but demanding shots with a lake, mature trees and deep bunkers penalising the wayward. Special features on this par 71 Championship course are the multiple tee boxes, generous fairways, large contoured greens and Castle Core which dominates the back nine is an integral part of this challenge.
The unique stone-built clubhouse is located within the grounds of Churchtown House and overlooking the practice putting green. The deceptively spacious complex incorporates all the facilities you would expect from a modern golf development whilst embracing a traditional and warm atmosphere.
"Beaufort is certainly one to keep an eye on."
- Malcolm Campbell, Golf Monthly
"The stretch from the 11th to the 14th is particularly memorable."
- Tony Dear, Fore Magazine
"All four par trees are outstanding with the 187`yard 8th very probably the jewel in the Beaufort crown.."
- Charlie Mulqueen, Cork Examiner
"Beaufort is all about greens and bunkers - the putting surface on the 16th is over 50 yards from front to back."
- Peter Masters, Golf World
"The 11th is breathtaking, and the 12th, through a sweeping green valley, is just awesome in scope."
- Nick Barry, The Kingdom
"For proper attention to detail and friendliness Beaufort Golf Club comes out on top."
- Baron's Bunker, The Kerryman
Beauford Golf Club operate a Three-Club Pass together with Kenmare & Bantry
Bay for
€109 in 2008. Societies are welcome and group rates are available.
