Course Description:
Clones Golf Club has recently extended to an 18-hole Parkland course having been an 9-hole since its inception in 1913. The work was carried out under the watchful eye of Arthur Spring who has carried out several fine new and remodelling courses throughout the country. Located in the grounds of Hilton Park some three miles outside the town, Clones is one of the driest golf courses to be found in this part of the country, making it playable all year round. The new course combines stunning views of the surrounding hills, lakes, streams and forests, and a superb golf course, makes Clones a true test of golf and a memorable day out. The clubhouse is very friendly and full catering facilities are available during the summer months.

Club History
Instituted 1913 affiliated 1915.Clones Golf Club, was founded in 1913, with Mr. Michael E. Knight as the inaugural Captain. It first located at Lisnaroe, near Clones. club moved to its present home Hilton 1929. Clones, is a nine-hole course which affiliated GUI 1915.

Three and a half miles out of town on the Scotshouse road on your right hand side.
Members Achievements
Clones Golf Club won the Ronan Rafferty in 1999. when the team was Dick Clerkin, S. McKiernan, D. O'Reilly, M. Gilliard, they were captained by Packie McCarbille and managed by P. Connolly. Clones won the Ronan Rafferty in 1997, when the team was, Niall Cassidy, Lee Mullally, John Rooney, Dick Clerkin, Packie McCarville and they were managed by Leo Rooney.
