Course Description:

A unique island golf course surrounded by the River Suir and accessed by private ferry. Designed by Des Smyth, this 310-acre island is enclosed by water. The course is 6814 yards and has four water features on the second, third, fourth and sixteenth holes. There is even a Swilken Bridge on the third hole. Two of the more challenging holes are the par 4's at nine and twelve. Index one comes at the ninth, a 414-yard uphill, dog-leg right. The twelfth is 456 yards and is a fine test of accuracy and distance. The views from the course are superb and the luxurious Waterford Castle Hotel equally spectacular. Societies are welcome and group rates are available.
