Set on mature parkland, and designed by my friend Harry Wallace, the course commands majestic views of Lough Leane, Killarney’s lower lake and the MacGillicuddy's Ireland’s highest mountains. The course itself occupies land which is the very last stretch of the Kenmare Estate held in private ownership and adjoins Killarney’s Killeen Course on one side and the National Park on the other.
Designed to the highest standards it has 9 fully irrigated USGA standard greens plus a practice green and provides a worthy test for golfers of all levels. The golf shop and locker rooms are located right beside the 20-meter swimming pool and fitness centre at the Castlerosse Hotel. Mulligan’s Pub, overlooks the course, provides a range of snacks and light meals all day, in an attractive atmosphere. Castlerosse has an Open Fourball every Wednesday from May to September.
