Course Description
Tom Craddock carried out the redesign and extension to 18-holes, did a splendid job of integrating the new with the old at Claremorris Golf Club. Set in the rolling natural terrain, tributaries of the river Robe, which borders the course at the back of the par-4, 15th, provide numerous water hazards, and the course is littered with mature sycamore and ash trees. The 6th 402 metres par-4 index 1 is probably the signature hole at Claremorris. Played from an elevated tee on the highest part of the course, it has stunning views of the Caltra Hill in the distance and over your shoulder is, the Oranmore and Brown estates.

Full credit must be given to the members, both men and ladies who carried out much of the actual physical work to bring the extension of the course to a successful conclusion. Claremorris is renowned for its quality greens, much to the credit of the head green-keeper, Joe Disken.Visitors and Societies are assured of a warm welcome in the fine clubhouse opened in 1989 and a memorable round of golf. Societies are welcome and group rates are available.
