Course Description:

Kilcock Golf Club was founded in 1984 and was originally an 9-hole Parkland It wasn't long however before it was decided to extend to the full 18-holes. Eddie Hackett undertook the task of marrying the old with the new and was so successful that even some of the original members have difficulty distinguishing between what where the old nine and the new nine. Measuring 5,812 metres off the white tees with a Par 72 and a standards scratch of 70, the ladies play the course as a Par 74 with a standard scratch of 73. Kilcock is mature generous Parkland with tree-lined fairways, large greens and tee-boxes. It is a fair and challenging golf course for players of all standards. Kilcock Golf Club have made major strides since I first played it many years ago, they have extended their clubhouse to provide the golfer with his or her every need a very warm welcome awaits the visitor to this Co. Meath golf club only a short distance from Dublin.

Members Achievements

Lady Captain Betty Woulfe and her Captain's Prize winner Gay Hegarty got through the final regional qualifiers in the Volkswagen-Irish Independent Lady Captain's Classic at Headfort Golf Club in September 2001. Betty playing off 19 and Gay off 21 posted a score of 37 points, which was enough to get them into 3rd place. They booked their place in the National Finals at Druid's Glen on the 1st of October.

The Millennium Captain, Sean Dowling didn't let the pressure of office affect his golf. In the month of June, 2000, Sean saw his Handicap plummet from 16 to 10, giving his handicap secretary great pleasure!
