Described by a leading German golf writer as one of the finest 9-hole courses in Europe.Carrick-on-Suir Golf Course, founded 1939, it now has extended to a full 18-hole course. With the backdrop of the Comeragh mountains on one side and the breathtaking views of the Suir Valley on the other, visitors will find their round of golf a very pleasant and memorable experience.They can also be assured of a welcome and hospitality for which Carrick-on-Suir is renowned.

Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club won the Munster Championship of the J. B. Carr Diamond Trophy in 2006.

Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club won the County Championship of the J. B. Carr Diamond Trophy in 2001

Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club won the County Championship of the J. B. Carr Diamond Trophy in 2000, when the team was, Tom Power, Lal Holden, Tom O'Keeffe, Colm Fleming, Liam Hogan, Peter Green, Tom Kiely, Bill Gilman, Henry E. (Midge) Nolan, Seamus Kenny and William Galvin, they were managed by Pierce M. Nolan.

Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club were runners-up in the Munster Championship of the Jimmy Bruen Shield in 1999, when the team was, D. Sexton, B. Walsh, P. Doyle, J. Conway, B. Sheehan, J. Doherty, A. McGrath, M. Hassett, P. O'Brien, O. Tobin, D. Tuohy, K. Tracey, T. Fitzgerald, M. Kelly, P. McGrath and P. Cooney.

Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club were runners-up in the Munster Championship of the Pierce Purcell Shield in 1999, when the team was, G. Kirwan, F. Murphy, P. McCarthy, J. Power, B. Kelly, R. Fox, L. Daniels, T. Ryan, G. Bourke, A. Murphy, D. O'Neill, M. Kelly, T. O'Connor and K. Kelly.

Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club won the County Championship of the J. B. Carr Diamond Trophy in 1998.

Carrick-on-Suir won the Munster County Club  Cup in 1986.

The Ladies of Carrick-on-Suir won the Tipperary B League in 1999, when the team was Tess O'Shea, Nuala Oades, Sheila McSweeney, Teresa Darmody, Josephine O'Doherty and Deirdre Fitzpatrick.

The Ladies of Carrick-on-Suir were Tipperary League winners in 1988, when the team was, M. Fleming, K. V. O'Donnell, E. Power, G. Ryan and hey were captained by E. Walsh.

The Ladies of Carrick-on-Suir were Tipperary League winners in 1980.

The Ladies of Carrick-on-Suir were Tipperary League winners in 1987, when the team was, Ella Power, K. V. O'Donnell, Emby, Walsh, Delma Morrissey and Maureen Nolan. 

B. P. Hynes was elected Honorary Treasurer of the Munster Branch of the GUI for 2001.

Paul O'Hara played Munster Boys in 1995.

Bernie Hynes was elected President of the GUI for 2006.
